Acerca del evento
This workshop is brought to SAFFP by local nonprofit movement expert and Executive Director of Align the Fibers, Precious Jennings.
During the workshop, you will focus on reacquainting yourself one of your first senses of movement orientation: touch; internal and external, as a means to discover how you may slow down and broaden your knowledge and power.
Disclaimer: You will be lying on the floor. Wear layers, long sleeves, and pants as having skin covered helps the body to move easily, not stick, and helps keep you warm as body temperature lowers due to slowing down.
Open to all levels, modifications will be given when needed.
Walk-ins are welcome! Please arrive 30 minutes early if you do not wish to preregister.
50% of proceeds will be donated to Align the Fibers : Indigo Project.
About the Instructor: Precious combines her knowledge of performance and anatomy when facilitating space to invite play and social engagement. She has studied different somatic movement modalities with K.J. Holmes, in addition to studying acting with Fay Simpson, creator of Lucid Body Physical Acting Practice.
